The District is staffed by 35 full-time employees who protect 1.5 million residents in 26 cities and unincorporated Los Angeles County.

During the warmer months when mosquitoes are most active (generally from March - October), the District hires extra-help employees who assist our full-time staff. However, as invasive Aedes become more active year-round, our agency must start to prioritize resources.
