The purpose of the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District’s Education Department is to heighten awareness of public health issues related to the proliferation of mosquitoes, the presence of other vectors and vector-borne disease, and residents’ responsibilities in disease prevention.

Our programs are geared to illustrate how human health is inextricably bound to the health of the environment around us through environmental degradation, loss of native habitat and species diversity, and to inspire a desire for increased stewardship and sense of responsibility for the living and non-living systems upon which we depend.
