Archived Area-wide Mosquito Treatments 2014-2020
Area-wide pesticide treatments are reserved for severe conditions, including abnormal mosquito population spikes, abnormal virus activity, and public health emergencies.
All of the public health materials we use to control mosquitoes are registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and are regulated by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and Los Angeles County Agricultural Commissioner / Weights and Measures.
For details regarding materials' research to registration, please contact the manufacturers.
If weather conditions are not favorable, or if there are operational delays, the treatment may be postponed or delayed. Treatments may continue or resume in the following weeks with continued West Nile virus activity.
Archived Treatments Prior to 2021
Note: No area-wide treatments conducted between Oct. 20, 2016 and June 30, 2021.
