  • We are strategically planning how to reach residents of all ages who don't speak English for the upcoming year. We hope to connect our messaging and mission to popular cultural games, like Mosquito Lotería. ​​

Children play Mosquito Lotería and learn about stagnant water sources, mosquito life cycles, and vector control through the game. 
  • 33 hours of enhanced neighborhood support has been conducted in several neighborhoods that includes door-to-door property inspections and delivery of educational material. The effort is to identify and eliminate residential sources of mosquito habitat. Our staff alerts residents to disease threats and teach them how to protect themselves.

 In education 👨🏽‍🏫📚

  • Little Champions is the latest program addition to our EcoHealth curriculum. Little Champions is perfect for homeschooled students, library programs, summer camps, and more. We also offer TK and Pre-K in-person visits.

Print other games & activities for TK - 2nd grade 

  • Check out our interactive & educational experience, Journey of the Germ, it's NGSS-aligned, FREE, and available to all TK - 12th grade students in the San Gabriel Valley.
  • 3,318 people were educated on mosquito-borne diseases and bite prevention in the past month at our in-person events in the San Gabriel Valley. Additionally, 28,373 people were engaged with our social media content. 
  • Remember Ada Eez, the world's most famous mosquito? Well she's still biting throughout the holidays and last Winter, she starred in an educational music video:
  • Thanks to Ada's social media presence, Ada Eez decorations are all the buzz this holiday season! See more details on Ada's Twitter account.

In disease control & monitoring 🔬🦟🦠

  • The Surveillance Department places traps weekly and submits mosquito samples for testing for arboviruses, like West Nile virus (WNV). 
  • Weekly trapping will be conducted based on weather conditions on an as needed basis until weekly trapping begins again in March 2022.
